ServicesYouth Substance Use & Healing
At Mógúán, we understand that our Ute Mountain Ute youth face unique pressures, and sometimes those challenges can lead to a path of substance use. We define substance use disorders not just as a health hurdle, but as an obstacle that can keep our students from reaching their full potential at school, at home, and within our community.
Our healing services are specifically designed for the younger generation, focusing on:
Student-Centered Counseling: Using relatable, age-appropriate techniques to help students navigate peer pressure, stress, and trauma.
Restoring Balance: Implementing personalized strategies through the VIVE18 curriculum that reduce the need for substances while reinforcing a student’s connection to their identity and responsibilities.
Pathways to Wellness: Providing a safe, confidential space where Ute Mountain Ute students can heal without judgment and regain their footing in their academic and personal lives.
What are your insurance options?
For Indigenous People, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) will help address health disparities. The ACA does this by investing in prevention and wellness and increasing access to affordable health coverage.
Depending on your eligibility and the coverage available in your state, you may be able to continue to use an Indian Health Service (IHS), Tribal or Urban Indian Health Program facility.
